How can I fix a digital camera with a lens error?

My camera fell out of my pullover hoody pocket while i was taking it off and it fell on the side with the lens. This has happened to me before but I fixed it by forcefully pulling the lens out while turning the camera on. I tried the same procedure but it won’t work. Any suggestions please let me know?

My 5 year old pulled at my digital camera as I turned it on and the lens was extending. Now the lens won’t move. The batteries are charged and the camera will make a sound when I power it on, but the lens won’t move. It won’t go in or out and yet the camera cannot be used. It is summer time and we were planning on taking lots of pictures! Please help! Thanks so much!
